Our New Home Guinea Pig Contract

Below you will find the key points outlined in our standard new home contract no matter what your piggie is.

Why have a contract....? Other places dont!?

Well.... We're not like other places, we want to know where all of our piggies go to live out their days. We offer a 'bring back' option too, to ensure all of the piggies we home go to the best homes possible.

1.

You agree to care for your guinea pig for as long as he or she lives. Which include fresh, hay, water, veggies and pellets every day. 80% hay, 15% fresh veggies 5% pellets.

2.

You have suitable housing for your piggies: two or more piggies should have plenty of room and hides in-case they want a bit of alone time. Ramps should be a shallow as possible as some piggies won't use them. Two piggies should have a 6ft single hutch or 4ft double hutch if kept outside. During winter a cover should be used and heat pads are great too. Guinea pigs make great indoor pets too and they love human interaction.  CC cages should be at 3 x4 per piggie as a minimum, but bigger the better!

3.

If you should wish to re-home your piggie for any reason, they must come back to us to either live with us permanently or we will then rehome - we will not purchase piggies back, however they must come back to us so we know at all times they are in suitable housing.

4.

Buying for children. All handling of guinea pigs by children should be supervised by an adult at all times. If your child does not care for the piggies, then you agree to step in and care for them instead.

5.

Once purchased, the piggies are your responsibility which includes all vet bills, food, housing costs. If at any point you can't keep your piggies due to cost, they should come back to us.
